ELMHURST, Ill. - Brittany Adcox gave up just two hits in the first game of a doubleheader against Elmhurst College to win 4-0 and the Eagles went on to win the nightcap 10-4 to complete the sweep.

In 7.0 innings, Adcox faced 24 batters and had five strikeouts and gave up zero walks. At the plate, the Eagles had just four hits of their own including a triple from Adcox and singles from Cassie Cappetto, Sam Corban and Laura Christensen.

In game two the Eagles scored an early run in the first off a single from Corban, driving in Kara Walsh. Elmhurst tied the score in the third with an RBI single from Bowlin.

In the fifth, BenU scored two runs on one hit and one Bluejay error. In the next two innings Elmhurst would take 4-3 lead after Bukowski led off the inning with a homerun and an RBI single from Cademartori.

The Eagles would tie the game in the seventh to force extra innings and the BenU offense would come to life in the eighth, scoring six runs off of six hits including a homerun from Walsh, her second of the year. The Eagles would go on to win 10-4.

On the mound, Corban started the game, pitching 5.0 innings with two strikeouts while Adcox picked up the win in erlief striking out three batters in 3.0 innings.

Softball will travel to Concordia University-Chicago for a 3:00 pm doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon.
