PELLA, Iowa - After falling to host Central College on Thursday afternoon, the Benedictine University softball team dropped a 4-1 decision to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Friday afternoon to end their season at the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.
The Eagles (37-8) tallied just four hits including two from
Kelly Mieszala and
Brittany Wolski in the third inning when BenU tallied their only run of the game.
Whitewater (27-11) scored all four of their runs in the second inning and the Eagles could not get an offensive rally going as they fell 4-1.
Brittany Adcox had two strikeouts in 6.0 innings while Mieszala, Wolski,
Cassie Cappetto and
Sam Corban each had a hit.
