AURORA, Ill. - The Benedictine University baseball team ended the 2011 season with a 10-0 loss to Concordia University-Chicago on Sunday morning in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament.

Both teams only combined for 10 hits in the game with the Eagles tallying four and CUC with six. The Cougars took an early 2-0 lead in the first and neither team scored again until the sixth when CUC tallied six runs to take an 8-0 lead. They would score two more runs in the eighth to secure the 10-0 victory.

Jake Thompson received the loss, allowing seven earned runs with five strikeouts in 5.2 innings. At the plate Nick Karkosta, Kevin Hendricks, Jack Holden and Tom Higgins each had hits.

The Eagles end the season with a 24-18 overall record and a 13-9 NAC mark.
