MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Despite limiting Wisconsin Lutheran to under 200 total yards, the Benedictine University football team dropped a 14-2 contest on the road Saturday afternoon.
Scoreless into the third quarter, Wisconsin Lutheran scored both of its touchdowns. The first score came on an interception in the redzone as Jordan Rabe picked off a pass at the 15 and returned it 85 yards for a touchdown.
The lone points for Benedictine came on a safety with just :16 remaining. The safety was the thid of the season for the Eagles.
Cyle Schultz finished with 174 yards passing, but was intercepted three times.
Artie Monaco caught nine passes for 73 yards while
Chris Schultz hauled in seven passes for 90 yards. Seven times Benedictine drove into Wisconsin Lutheran territory only to come up short.
Benedictine (3-4, 1-3) returns home on October 20 to meet the conference leaders, Concordia Chicago, at 1:00 p.m.
