Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla. - After a 14-4 fiive-inning win over Trinity College in the first game, the Benedictine University softball team held St. Thomas to a 1-1 game heading into the seventh inning. The Eagles could not hold on as they dropped game two, 5-1.

In game one, the BenU (1-3) offense was on fire with double-hit performances from Brittany Adcox, Chelsea White, Ashley Parrott and Nikki Powers. Starting on the mound, Adcox allowed just two hits and had one strikeout in two innings while Kelly Loy and Eryn Pondo made appearances in relief.

Benedictine gave up an early run against St. Thomas but tied the game in the third inning. Adcox held the Tommies scoreless through the sixth but the UST offense came alive in the last inning and scored four runs to take the 5-1 victory.

Benedictine is back in action on Monday, March 19 when they play Plymouth State at 8:00 am (CST) and then take on Colby College at 10:00 am (CST).
