SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team dropped a 19-5 decision at Sewanee on Wednesday.
Sewanne came out strong, holding a 6-0 lead after the first quarter.
Tyler Buschow opened the scoring in the second quarter but Sewanee tallied three straight goals and held a lead of 11-2 at the half.
Benedictine was unable to score back-to-back goals in the contest. Sewanee held a 62-21 edge in shots. Buschow and
Robert Abbott each netted two goals.
Jeffrey Smitheram registered 15 saves in goal.
Benedictine (2-5) returns to conference play on Saturday at Fontbonne. The contest was the second on spring break. The Eagles fell 1-0 in a contest stopped by weather in the second quarter at Berry on Monday.
