MEQUON, Wis. - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team saw its two-game win streak come to an end at Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday with a 14-1 loss.
Concordia Wisconsin took the lead less than a minute into the contest but Benedictine was able to tie the game.
Connor Mersch netted the equalizer with 10:59 to play in the opening quarter, striking unassisted. The Eagles did not score the rest of the game.
Jeffrey Smitheram halted 11 shots in goal as Concordia Wisconsin held a 39-18 edge in shots.
Benedictine (6-7, 4-3) returns to action on Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. against Aurora at the Sports Complex. The contest is a makeup from Wednesday.
