The Benedictine University softball team dropped a 4-0 decision to Anderson University on Monday morning at Hancock Park.

Both teams held strong through three innings but Anderson (2-2) tallied three runs in the fourth off of three hits. They also scored their final run in the sixth.

The Eagles (3-2) only recorded four hits including singles from Kelly Mieszala, Sarah Koch, Alex Daviera and Shannon Fritsche but no runs crossed the plate.

Benedictine's second game of the day was cancelled due to rain.

After an off day on Tuesday, BenU softball is back at it again on Wednesday taking on Framinham State and Carroll University at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. EST, respectively.
