KENOSHA, Wis. - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team did not score after the first quarter in a 13-3 loss to Carthage on Wednesday.
Benedictine netted the first two goals of the contest as
Andrew Zmijewski scored unassisted at the midway point of the first.
Brendon Berg followed suit less than two minutes later.
Stephen Link capped the scoring late in the quarter after Carthage struck for the first time.
The hosts were able to tie the game late in the first half as part of a stretch of 12 unanswered goals. Benedictine was successful on 15-of-17 clears and totaled 29 shots.
Jeffrey Smitheram stopped 12 shots in goal.
Benedictine (5-3, 1-1) will host Hanover on Saturday night.
