LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University softball team fought through a pair of weather delays to sweep MSOE 10-2 and 6-1 on Sunday.

Kailee Cable hit for the cycle in game one, which lasted just six innings. Trailing 2-1 entering the bottom of the third, Benedictine scored three times and did not trail the rest of the way. Cable drove home all three runs with a bases loaded double. Cable finished with five RBIs in the game, homering in the fifth and plating the game ending run with a single to finish the cycle in the sixth.

Melissa Guzior threw a complete game, allowing just one earned run. Erin Kotlarz and Kelly Mieszala also notched two hits in the contest.

The start of game two was delayed by over an hour and a half due to rain and also delayed in the fourth inning for nearly 30 minutes, but Benedictine broke open a 1-1 game late to sweep.

Holly Haberkorn struck out 11 in a complete game effort in the circle. Cable picked up an RBI double in the fifth to put Benedictine ahead. The Eagles scored four times in the sixth to gain insurance. Sarah Koch posted a two-run triple in the frame and Cable drove home another. Cable finished with seven hits and eight RBIs in the two games. Koch posted two in the night cap as well.
