Box Score MEQUON, Wis. - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team dropped a 10-5 decision on Saturday afternoon at Concordia Wisconsin.
Consecutive tallies in the first quarter from
Trevor Buman and
Brendon Berg less than three minutes apart put Benedictine ahead 2-1.
Stephen Link scored on a man-up situation with just over four minutes left handed Benedictine a 3-2 lead at the end of the first. The hosts blanked Benedictine in the second quarter to take control and held a 5-3 lead at the half. Berg opened the scoring in the second half to claw Benedictine within 5-4 before four straight Concordia Wisconsin goals put the game away.
Berg and Buman scored twice for Benedictine.
Robert Abbott scooped five groundballs with goalie
Jeffrey Smitheram adding nine. Smitheram halted 14 shots in goal.
Benedictine (9-5, 5-3 MLC) travels to Aurora on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
