CHICAGO, Ill. - The Benedictine University baseball team avenged an earlier non-conference defeat with a 9-4 win at North Park on Wednesday night.

Benedictine grabbed an early 3-0 lead with a single run in the first and two in the second. Brandon Clark collected an RBI double in the first while T.J. Floyd and Matthew Higgs drove home runs in the second. The lead extended to 6-0 with three runs in the fifth. Ryan Mullin drove home a run and Clark posted a two-run homer in the frame.

Nick Diessner worked six innings and allowed just an unearned run to post the win. Clark helped put the game out of reach with a two-run single in the eighth. Clark finished the game with three hits and five RBIs. Benedictine amassed 13 hits in the contest. Tim Hendricks also posted three at the top of the order and scored three times.

Benedictine (17-12) faces Robert Morris in another non-conference contest Thursday night at 6:00 p.m.
