Box Score LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team rolled to a 19-4 win over MSOE on Wednesday night, setting a program record for goals scored.
Benedictine exploded in the second quarter to put MSOE away, putting 11 shots into the back of the net. The Eagles held a 3-1 early in the first before a pair of goals from 
Trevor Buman and 
Stephen Link in the final three minutes extended the lead to 5-1. Benedictine scored 10 consecutive goals to open a lead of 11-1 with 8:45 to play in the first half.
Ten different individuals scored in the contest. 
Blake Keenan led the way with four tallies. 
Robert Abbott added three while winning 11 faceoffs and scooping eight groundballs. Benedictine amassed 64 shots in the victory and scored four times in man-up situations. 
Jeffrey Smitheram stopped five shots in goal.
Benedictine (8-4, 4-2) owns more wins just past the mid-point of year two than the team had in all of year one. The Eagles meet Defiance on the road Saturday in Ohio.
