Sterling Glover tallied a season high 20 kills on Friday night as the Benedictine University men's volleyball team fell to top ranked Juniata College in four sets (25-20, 29-31, 25-22, 25-16) in River Forest.
Glover led all players with 20 kills while
Jake Moran had 12 kills and two aces.
Markus Riemer recorded 46 assits and 13 digs and
Ian Thompson had 11 digs.
Benedictine (2-4) trailed the entire first set but took an early lead in the second set with kills from Glover and Moran. Juniata (5-0) rallied back to tie it at 28 but Moran and Glover's offense was too much for JC to handle as BenU took the second set.
The third set saw BenU take the lead but Juniata regained the lead and recorded 13 kills in the 25-22 win.
In the fourth set, JC led the entire match and hit. 423 with 13 kills to win 25-16.
As a team, the Eagles tallied 51 kills, 52 digs and six team blocks.
Benedictine is back in action on February 7 when they travel to Carthage College for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
