FROM THE COACH
"I saw a lot of good things, but we gave up too many second-chance points, missed a lot of layups and turned the ball over too many times," said head coach Charlie Averkamp. "It is hard to win a game when you turn the ball over 22 times, but I thought the team did a great job of battling back in the second half to tie the game. We will learn and grow from today as a team."

STAT LEADERS
• Crayton was the lone Benedictine player to score in double figures, tallying a game-high 16 off the bench in 20 minutes of action
• Willis scored nine points while grabbing four rebounds
• Benedictine turned the ball over 22 times, leading to 23 points for Elmhurst
• Benedictine shot 53.8 percent in the second half and finished the game at 41.8 percent
• Elmhurst held a 34-32 edge in rebounds but Benedictine recorded 15 second-chance points
