In their final home game of the season, the Benedictine University men's volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to #8 Carthage College on Saturday afternoon in the Dan and Ada Rice Center.

The first set saw Carthage (20-6, 13-0) hold BenU (7-15, 4-9) to just four kills while they produced 11 en route to a 25-11 victory. Carthage never trailed in the second set, recording 10 kills and just one error for a 25-13 win.

The Eagles saw their first lead of the match in the third set, taking a 7-5 lead on a Charles Morrell kill. Morrell and CC's Storm traded kills the next several points but the Red Men offense was too much as they regained the lead and went on to win 25-20.

Eric Tarnow led the team with eight kills while Morrell tallied six kills and just one error. Markus Riemer recorded 20 assists and seven digs. As a team, BenU had 24 kills, 36 digs and three team blocks.

Benedictine men's volleyball plays their final regular season contest on Wednesday, April 1 when they travel to Milwaukee School of Engineering for a 7:00 pm contest.
