KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team ended a weekend trip to Michigan by falling to host Kalamazoo College 17-4 on Sunday afternoon.
Kalamazoo scored the first five goals of the game.
Becca Gullett scored the first Benedictine goal at the 20:08 mark. Down 6-1,
Jasmine Moreno scored on a free position shot just before the mid-point of the first half. Benedictine went into the half down 10-4 following two late goals from
Samantha Link and did not score in the second half.
Defensively,
Hannah Smith recorded seven saves in goal. Benedictine finished 8-for-10 on clear attempts and tallied four groundballs. Link posted five shots with Gullett adding four. Link scored eight goals during the weekend trip.
Benedictine (0-4) travels to DePauw on Thursday night in a makeup from a contest postponed last week.
