DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Benedictine University women's volleyball team fell to Loras College and Simpson College on Saturday morning in the second day of the IIAC/NACC Crossover Challenge.

THE DETAILS• The Eagles trailed in the first set early on but tied the match at 16. Loras went on a 4-0 run and never looked back, winning 25-22
• Down 6-0, Loras dominated the Eagles offensively in the second set
• Benedictine trailed early again, 10-5, but came from behind to tie it at 16. The Loras offense was too much to handle as they went on to win 25-20.
• The Eagles hit a .-046 with just 17 kills but 22 errors

THE DETAILS• The Eagles improved tremendously in the second match, tallynig 46 kills for a .268 hitting percentage
• In the first set, BenU had 15 kills and just one error. They trailed early on but an
Ashley Karsten kill sparked the offense and they went on to win 25-22
• Simpson caught fire in the second set, taking an early lead and never looking back
• In the third set, Benedictine had an impressive .243 hitting percentage and the set went down to the wire, but SC came out on top, 25-23
• The Eagles trailed early again in the final set and could not recover, falling 25-16
