CINCINNATI, Ohio - After losing the first set, the Benedictine University men's volleyball team won three straight to defeat #12 Mount St. Joseph Uniersity on the road.

THE FINAL
Benedictine 3, Mount St. Joseph 1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-22)

THE DETAILS
• After a back and forth start to the first set, the Eagles tied it at 16. Mount St. Joseph scored five straight en route to a 25-21 win
• In the second set, the Eagles took a commanding 19-10 lead but let MSJ scored four straight to come within five. It wasn't enough though as BenU went on to win 25-21
• With the third set tied at eight, Kacper Mazurek gave BenU the lead and they would never look back, tallying 15 kills for the 25-20 win
• Benedictine recorded 17 kills with just four errors in the final set. Both teams battled early but a Jon Mueller kill would put the Eagles up 19-6 and a Mazurek ace would give BenU a 25-22 win
• The Eagles are now 3-0 in MCVL action

STAT LEADERS
• Sterling Glover led the team with 17 kills and also had three blocks and five digs
• Mazurek had a season high 14 kills while Zach Loeding recorded four kills and five blocks
• Markus Riemer had 42 assists with four kills, four blocks and 11 digs
• Leading the team defensively was Ian Thompson with 16 digs while Jonathan Valentini tallied seven digs
