SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Benedictine University men's volleyball team moved to 4-0 in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League with a 3-1 win over Wittenberg University on Saturday afternoon.

THE FINAL
Benedictine 3, Wittenberg 1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-15)

THE DETAILS
• With the score tied at four, Wittenberg took advantage of several Benedictine errors to take the lead and never looked back, maintaining a consistent advantage to win 25-20
• In the second set, the Eagles offense came alive as they tallied 14 kills with just three errors for a .367 hitting percentage to win 25-18
• The Benedictine offensive momentum continued as they tallied another 14 kills in the third set. The Eagles took an 11-5 lead after a Jon Mueller kill to go on to win 25-15
• Benedictine held Wittenberg to a -.071 hitting percentage in the fourth set to win 25-15

STAT LEADERS
• Kacper Mazurek was on fire, recording 17 kills with just one error for a season high .640 hitting percentage
• John Mathews tallied 14 kills with six digs while Markus Riemer had 45 assists and eight digs
• Zach Loeding grabbed nine kills and had seven block assists and two solo blocks. Ian Thompson led the team with 20 digs
• As a team, the Eagles had 50 kills for a .289 hitting percentage with 48 digs and 11 team blocks
