LISLE, Ill. - Following a 2-0 start to the season, the Benedictine University men's lacrosse team lost for the first time in the home opener to Augustana College.

THE DETAILS
• Augustana did not trail in the contest, scoring the first eight goals of the game
• The visitors scored three times in just over two minutes to take control
• Blake Keenan and Tony DePinto scored in the final minute of the first to put Benedictine on the board
• The visitors answered every Benedictine goal with a string of their own, maintaining command
• Augustana led 14-5 at halftime before the second half slowed down

STAT LEADERS
• Augustana held a 58-30 advantage in shots and a 39-27 edge in groundballs
• The visitors finished 3-for-3 in man-up situations and won 23 faceoffs
• Jeremy Voyda stopped 11 shots in goal and Jeffrey Smitheram also saw action
• DePinto and David Blanco each scored twice with Dell Hune adding a goal and two assists on 10 shots
• Matthew Johnson picked up six groundballs
