Women's Lacrosse Breezes to 4-1 in MWLC

LISLE, Ill. - Seven different individuals scored as the Benedictine University women's lacrosse team matched a single game record for goals in a victory over visiting Cornell College.

THE DETAILS

Becca Gullett scored on the first venture up the field as Benedictine opened a 1-0 lead less than 30 seconds into the contest
• Samantha Link drove home a feed from Ella Campbell to extend the margin to 4-0 less than five minutes into the game
• Jasmine Moreno pushed the margin to 5-0 at the 23:49 clip
• Benedictine created a running clock as Sam Tikalsky scored for the first time with 8:49 left in the first half
• Benedictine led 11-0 at the break
• Nikki Gullett scored to open the second half before Cornell found the back of the net for the lone occasion
• Benedictine tallied the final six goals of the game to account for the final
• Campbell scored in the closing seconds to equal the school record for goals in a game at 19 for the second time this season

Benedictine held a 41-4 advantage in shots and a 32-11 edge in groundballs
• Everyone who scored was able to find the back of the net more than once
• Link and Gullett each scored four times with Gullett distributing a pair of assists and Link one
• Gullett caused a pair of turnovers while notching eight groundballs and seven draw controls
• Jasmine Moreno collected six groundballs
• Nikki Gullett scored three times, logged an assist, and picked up five groundballs with three draw controls and three caused turnovers
• Hannah Smith played the whole game in net, making a save while the defense finished a perfect 10-for-10 in clearing attempts
