Baseball Rallies Past Illinois Wesleyan

LISLE, Ill. - Scoring seven runs in the middle innings enabled the Benedictine University baseball team to rally past Illinois Wesleyan University 9-4 in a non-conference contest on Tuesday night.

Single runs from Illinois Wesleyan in the second and third allowed the visitors to take a 2-0 edge
• Benedictine was able to tie the game with a pair of runs in the fourth on RBI singles from Brandon Gipson and Nick Severino
• Two runs quickly allowed Illinois Wesleyan to take a 4-2 advantage in the fifth
• Dom DeMicco lifted a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth to pull Benedictine within 4-3
• Four runs in the sixth enabled Benedictine to seize control
