MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team opened a busy weekend by dropping a conference contest at Augsburg.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine was unable to lead in the contest
• Augsburg scored back-to-back goals less than minute apart early in the contest to grab a 2-0 lead
• Becca Gullett scored the first goal for Benedictine with 26:50 left in the first half to pull Benedictine within 2-1
• Augsburg responded with seven consecutive goals to push the score to 9-1
• Samantha Link finally broke the run with an unassisted tally, but the hosts led 12-2 at the break
• The second half saw each team score five times with Benedictine twice putting together to straight goals

STAT LEADERS
• Augsburg held a 30-19 advantage in shots and a 21-11 margin in groundballs
• Draw controls were near even with Augsburg holding a 14-12 edge
• Gullett scored three times on six shots and added an assist, three draw controls, and three caused turnovers
• Madison Horan scored twice
• Hannah Smith recorded six saves in net with Rebecca Berg notching a pair
