LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team was outscored 8-2 in the second half in falling to Aurora University in conference action on Wednesday night.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine came out of the box strong, opening a 6-1 lead to start
• Ella Campbell scored the first goal on a free position attempt with 27:28 left in the opening half
• Becca Gullett scored the second goal in less than 30 second with just over eight minutes remaining to make the lead 6-1
• Gullett found the back of the net again with just under three minutes to play, making the score 8-4
• Aurora scored with 1:45 left to pull within 8-5 at the half
• The goal opened a string of six consecutive tallies to allow Aurora to take a 10-8 advantage
• Gullett finally broke the stretch with the first marker of the second half for Benedictine with 11:21 remaining, but three straight Aurora tallies put the game away

STAT LEADERS
• Aurora held a 27-26 advantage in shots and a 14-13 margin in groundballs
• Hannah Smith made nine saves in net
• Benedictine completed 14-of-17 clears
• Five individuals scored for Benedictine with Madison Horan adding a pair
