Women's Lacrosse Sets Season Wins Mark

LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team set a single season program record for wins with a Friday night conference home decision over Loras College.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine established early control, scoring the game's first five goals
• Samantha Link collected the first tally on a free position attempt with 24:17 to play in the opening half
• The first five goals took less than five minutes to accumulate
• Following a pair of goals from Loras, Link opened a string of three in a row to give Benedictine a lead of 8-2
• Benedictine held a 9-4 lead at the half
• The second half opened exactly like the first, scoring five in a row to start the running clock with a 15-4 margin
• Becca Gullett scored on the first trip up the field, just 31 seconds into the half
• Gullett scored the final four goals for Benedictine in the contest

• Gullett matched the single game record for goals by scoring seven times on 10 shots
