Haberkorn Throws Shutout Against Lakeland

In their third game of the 2016 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament, the Benedictine University softball team defeated Lakeland College to keep their chances alive of a NACC championship.

THE SCORING DETAILS
• Both teams were scoreless through two innings until the Eagles delivered two runs from a Courtney Grasz single with the bases loaded
• The Eagles tallied their final run of the game in the sixth inning after Melissa Stoch and Jenna Boyajian singled followed by an Angie Malsack RBI single
• Lakeland recorded just four hits in the game
 
THE STATS
• Holly Haberkorn was 3-3 at the plate
• Grasz was 1-3 with two RBI
• Malsack was 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI
• Stoch was 1-3
• On the mound, Haberkorn allowed just four hits and tallied five strikeouts
