The Benedictine University women's volleyball team gave Vanessa Possidoni and Emily Chitwood the greatest senior night gift of all, a 3-0 win over Rockford University to move the Eagles to 3-4 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action.

Benedictine 3, Rockford 0 (25-19, 25-11, 25-17)

• Before the match, Benedictine women's volleyball honored Possidoni and Chitwood, celebrating their amazing four year careers as Eagles
• After a back and forth start to the match, Benedictine took a 19-16 lead after a Claudia Schmidt kill and never looked back, winning 25-19
• In the second set, back-to-back Lauren Wieber kills gave BenU a 4-1 lead
• Kendall Holmes scored seven straight en route to an Eagles 25-11 victory
• A Taylor Dunwell kill was part of an Eagles 8-0 run in the third set
• Benedictine would tally 15 kills while limiting Rockford to just seven for the 25-17 win
• Benedictine hit .310 in the match, their highest hitting percentage this season

Women's volleyball, now 4-17 overall and 3-4 in NACC play, are back home again tomorrow afternoon when they host Edgewood College at 12:00 p.m. in the Rice Center.
