Women's Hoops Blows Past Marian


LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team did not trail in rolling to a win in the conference and home opener over visiting Marian University.

• Andrea Fuoss scored on the first possession of the game to put Benedictine ahead early
• The lead quickly reached 5-0 on a three-point play from Madisyn Fischer
• D'Asia Williams splashed home a three-pointer at the 6:39 marker of the opening quarter to push the lead to double figures at 14-3
• Allison Michalski connected on a jumper with 2:38 left in the first to give Benedictine the biggest lead of the quarter at 22-7
• Benedictine held a 24-11 lead after the first
