RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team remained unbeaten in conference play and handed Concordia University Chicago their first defeat in a road win on Monday night.

Benedictine 77, Concordia Chicago 68
• D'Asia Williams scored on the first possession of the game for Benedictine, handing the team a 2-0 edge, the only lead of the first half
• Concordia Chicago scored the next 10 points to open an eight-point advantage
• Casey Williams splashed home a three-pointer with 3:58 remaining in the first quarter to draw Benedictine within 14-11
• Jenna Endres hit a layup with 2:31 left in the quarter, pulling Benedictine to within 15-13
• Concordia Chicago tallied the next seven points to open a 22-13 lead after the opening 10 minutes
• Bennita Drain dropped in a layup with 6:14 to go in the half, bringing Benedictine within 25-22
• The hosts countered with a 9-2 run to lead by double figures at 34-24 following a three-point play at the 3:32 mark and took a 40-35 edge into the half
• Concordia Chicago led for much of the third quarter
• Down 49-42, Williams opened a 7-0 run to tie the game on a basket from
Allison Michalski with 3:47 to go in the third
• Michalski converted on another layup at the 2:36 mark to put Benedictine in front at 53-51
• Benedictine did not trail again
• Michalski opened a 7-0 run to push the lead to 69-60 with a layup with 4:56 left and pushed the lead to double figures at 71-61 with a jumper at the 3:46 mark
• The contest featured five ties and two lead changes
• Benedictine has now won six consecutive contests
• Benedictine held a 53-38 advantage on the glass, reeling in 28 offensive rebounds which led to 23 second-chance points
• Benedictine shot 34.5 percent from the field in the contest and turned the ball over just 12 times against the press while forcing 19 turnovers, which led to 18 points
• Concordia Chicago shot 44.2 percent from the floor but did not make a three-pointer
• Michalski led all scorers with a career high 24 points off the bench, making 11 field goals and adding seven rebounds
• Williams finished with 22 points with
Venita Parsons adding 15, six from the free throw line, and eight boards

Benedictine (6-1, 4-0 NACC) returns to action on Saturday night with a contest against the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. Puget Sound has been nationally ranked all season but fell out of this week's D3hoops.com Top 25
