The Benedictine University men's volleyball team lost their second straight Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League match on Friday night in five sets against Loras College.

THE FINAL
Benedictine 2, Loras 3 (27-29, 25-27, 25-28, 25-20, 10-15)

THE DETAILS
• Despite hitting in the negative in the first set, Benedictine faced set-point, down 24-22, and with an Elijah Medlock kill and Nick Malak ace, the Eagles were back at 24-alll
• Both teams traded points until Loras ended the set with two kills to win 29-27
• The second set saw Benedictine trail early but tied it at 19
• Once again facing set point at 24-22, Benedictine tied it at 24 with kills from Jeremy Villarreal and Medlock
• Two Loras kills once again ended the set, 27-25
•The Eagles tallied 13 kills for a .367 hitting percentage in set three, winning 25-18
• In the fourth set, Benedictine went on a 6-1 run to take a 14-9 lead and never looked back, winning 25-20
• Benedictine trailed 7-4 in the fifth set and could never regain the lead, falling 15-10
