LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team opened the season with a home loss to Elmhurst College.

THE DETAILS
• Elmhurst scored the opening goal off the initial faceoff of the contest
• Benedictine bounced back with consecutive goals from David Blanco to open a 2-1 lead
• The second goal was assisted by Randy Patrick with 5:39 to play in the first quarter
• Corbin Gett enabled Benedictine to open a 3-2 lead early in the second quarter with an unassisted tally
• Elmhurst responded with six consecutive goals to grab control
• The visitors led 4-3 at halftime
