LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team overcame a slow start, but could not hold off a fourth quarter frenzy in a loss to visiting Hope College, falling to 0-2 on the year.

THE DETAILS
•
Hope scored the first three goals of the game in rapid succession, needing less than four minutes to take control early
• Corbin Gett fired home an unassisted tally to break the run and put Benedictine on the board following a timeout with 11:01 left in the opening quarter
• Randy Patrick converted on a feed from Will Reece III at the 7:09 mark to bring Benedictine within a goal
• Hope scored the final two goals of the quarter to notch a 5-2 advantage after one
• Trailing 7-3 late in the second, Benedictine turned momentum
• Benedictine closed the half with three consecutive tallies, battling within 7-6 at the half on a man-up goal from Kyle Wagner in the final minute
• The run continued at the start of the third quarter with three more goals, enabling Benedictine to take the lead for the first time
