Men's Volleyball Drops MCVL Match at North Central

Despite taking a 2-0 lead over North Central College, the Benedictine University men's volleyball team went on to drop their second straight Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League match on Tuesday night in Naperville, IL.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine took a 4-0 lead after two Markus Riemer aces and kills from Lewis Stein and Elijah Medlock
• The Eagles would lead the rest of the first set for the 25-20 win
• Up again 4-0 in the second set, BenU would tally 11 kills and lead by as many as 12 for the 25-16 victory
• It was North Central who would take a 4-0 lead in the third set
• A Sterling Glover kill would tie it at 19 but NCC would go on to win 25-23
• In the fourth set, both teams traded points early until North Central took a 15-10 lead
• The Eagles tied it at 22 with a Nick Malak kill but the Cardinals would score three straight to force a fifth set
• Benedictine trailed early in the fifth set and could not recover despite tallying 10 kills and hitting .381
