WINTER HAVEN, FL - The Benedictine University baseball team saw a three-game win streak come to an end with a loss to #8 UW-La Crosse in Florida.

• Playing as the visiting team, UW-La Crosse raced to an 8-0 lead, scoring three in the fourth and five in the fifth
• Benedictine cut the margin in half, scoring four times in the bottom of the fifth

D.J. Dillon followed with a walk
• Jimmy McLaughlin singled home the first run

• Gipson posted an RBI double in the seventh to bring Benedictine within 8-5 but La Crosse added two in the eighth to pad the advantage

• Joe Palasiewicz started and was saddled with the loss after working four innings, striking out five
• Will Diessner made his first appearance of the year, tossing 2.2 scoreless
• McLaughlin tallied a pair of hits as Benedictine finished with eight, coming from seven individuals
