LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team fell to 0-2 on the season with a home loss to North Central College.

THE DETAILS
• North Central opened a quick 2-0 lead, scoring on back-to-back free position attempts
• Ries McCue cut into the deficit with her first of the season, and her career, an unassisted tally at the 23:41 mark of the first
• Becca Gullett evened the score less than three minutes later
• The visitors scored five in a row to open a 7-2 lead following a timeout
• Madison Horan broke up the run with a goal from Gullett
• Horan and Gullett were able to bring Benedictine within 9-5 at the break by providing assists on goals for each other
• North Central kicked off the second with five more unanswered tallies and were able to start the running clock halfway through the second
STAT LEADERS
• Benedictine was outshot 41-26, but it was just an 18-17 margin in the opening 30 minutes of action
• Horan and Gullett each scored three goals
• Gullett added two assists, five groundballs, six draw controls and four caused turnovers
• Horan finished with an assist and four groundballs
• Hannah Smith played most of the game in net, making 11 saves
