RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team dropped a road decision at Dominican University on Tuesday night.

Dominican 74, Benedictine 56
• Dominican could not miss in the first quarter and did not trail in the game
• Madisyn Fischer tied the game early with a jumper, but Dominican led 19-9 with just over four minutes remaining in the first
• Dominican scored the final nine points of the first to grab a 30-13 lead after making 13-of-18 field goal attempts
• The second quarter saw both team go through a scoreless stretch of over five minutes as Benedictine could not trim the margin and Dominican led 40-23 at the break
• D'Asia Williams and
Venita Parsons brought Benedictine to within 13 in the third, but the hosts led 62-44 entering the final 10 minutes
• The deficit grew to 20 early in the fourth before
Casey Williams opened a 10-0 run with a free throw
• Elisa Diorio pulled Benedictine within 64-54 at the 3:17 mark but Dominican responded with four straight and made 5-of-7 free throws to post the win
• Benedictine shot just 37 percent in the game and was outrebounded 42-33
• Parsons led Benedictine with 12 points
• Georgia Alexakos notched a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds
