PLYMOUTH, WI - The Benedictine University women's basketball team remained undefeated in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a road win at Lakeland.

Benedictine 57, Lakeland 52
• Lakeland scored on their first two possessions to grab a 4-0 lead but a three-pointer from
Venita Parsons tied the game at 6-6 with 8:20 left in the first quarter
• Another three-pointer from Parsons put Benedictine in front 9-8 at the 7:08 mark
• D'Asia Williams netted four straight points to enable Benedictine to open a 16-12 advantage with 4:18 to go in the opening quarter
• Lakeland took a brief 24-22 lead early in the second quarter but another three from Parsons put Benedictine ahead for good at 25-24
• The three-pointer opened an 11-1 run that saw Benedictine lead 33-25 on a three-pointer from
Georgia Alexakos
• Benedictine held a 35-27 halftime lead and a
Madisyn Fischer triple extended the lead to 38-27 to begin the third quarter
• Benedictine continued to lead by double figures midway through the third quarter
• Lakeland twice pulled within two points in the fourth quarter at 50-48 and 54-52, but Benedictine made three free throws in the final six seconds to seal the decision
• The contest featured six ties and five lead changes and Benedictine led for 31:20
• Benedictine has won nine-of-10 games and remains one of just two unbeaten teams in conference play
• Benedictine made six three-pointers in the first half to seize control and shot 44.8 percent in the half
• Benedictine finished the game shooting 35.2 percent and held a 41-32 advantage on the glass
• Four players reached double figures for Benedictine with Fischer and Parsons each tallying 11
• Alexakos and Williams collected 10 points apiece with Alexakos notching nine boards
• Alena Moro reeled in a game high 13 rebounds

Benedictine (9-2, 6-0 NACC) welcomes MSOE on Saturday afternoon.
