• Carthage wasted no time in taking a lead in the second set, jumping out to a 4-1 advantage after two aces
• The Eagles came within two points after a Markus Riemer ace but the Carthage serves were too much for BenU to handle, acing the Eagles four times for the 25-19 win

• Benedictine never game up, taking an early 6-2 lead in the fourth set
• After being tied at 13, an Elijah Medlock ace gave BenU the lead

• Both teams traded points the entire set and saw Carthage take a 13-11 lead but the Eagles were there to tie it up with another VanStedum kill
• Tied at 16, a Carthage kill and a BenU error gave the RedMen the victory
