Volleyball Falls at Edgewood

Benedictine University women's volleyball fell to the Edgewood College Eagles in four sets on Saturday afternoon in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action.

THE DETAILS
• Despite taking a 4-1 lead, Benedictine allowed Edgewood to tie it up and take a lead
• Benedictine's 16 kills and .243 attack percentage in the set wasn't enough as Edgewood would win 25-22
• Benedictine led the entire second set, going up by as many as six for the 25-18 win
• The Eagles tallied 16 kills and hot .467 in the win
• Benedictine led early but an EC 4-0 run sparked their offense for the 25-18 third set win
• In set four, BenU came within three late in the set but allowed EC to go another run for the 25-19 win
• The Eagles tallied 48 kills, five aces, 61 digs and 4 blocks
• Edgewood recorded 50 kills, 13 aces, 53 digs and 7 blocks
