• Benedictine led the whole way, working the ball inside to score the first four points of the game on layups from
Allison Michalski and
Alex Fanning
• Michalski opened a 12-0 run with a layup in transition with 7:05 left in the opening quarter
• Claire Gibler capped the run on a layup with 1:50 left in the quarter, making the score 16-3 and Benedictine led 16-5 after the first
• MaKayli Vann ignited a 7-0 run with a three midway through the second as Benedictine extended the lead to 29-10 and held a 32-12 lead at the half
• Benedictine scored the first five points of the second half to move in front 37-12
• The lead grew to 45 points in the fourth quarter as everyone who dressed saw the floor
STAT LEADERS
• 14 different players scored in the decision and the bench contributed more than half the total, notching 45 points
• Michalski led two players in double figures with 17, adding six rebounds and five assists
• Hanna Piro scored a career best 12 points in 20 minutes of action, making 5-of-6 field goals
• Benedictine shot 37.3 percent for the game but made 11 three-pointers and scored 30 points in the paint, 33 points off turnovers and held a 56-48 edge on the glass
