RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University men's basketball team stormed out to a big first half lead and cruised to a road win over Dominican University on Saturday.

• Eric Grygo opened a 14-0 run with a layup in the paint at the 14:34 mark of the first half and a three from
Kyle Hornacek finished the stretch as Benedictine opened a 23-5 lead
• Dominican cut the lead down to 12 points, but a an 8-0 run capped with a pair of free throws from
Kenny Bogus stretched the lead out to 43-19
• Benedictine held a 47-25 halftime edge
• Dominican opened the second half with a three-pointer but Benedictine continued to pull away
• Michael Johnson made a layup with 14:18 left to make the score 63-31 and Benedictine led by as many as 35 in the second half
• The game marked the fourth straight on the road and the fourth in eight days
• Benedictine never trailed in the contest

• Benedictine shot 55 percent in the first half and 50 percent in the second to finish at 52.8 percent
• Benedictine held a 40-25 edge on the glass, scored 38 points in the paint and 22 off turnovers
