Men's Lacrosse Overwhelms Fontbonne

ST. LOUIS, MO - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team overwhelmed Fontbonne on the road to capture a seventh straight win

• Four different players scored in the first quarter as Benedictine tallied the first six goals of the game and led 7-1 after one
• Following a save on the opening possession, Joe Spahn set up the first goal of the game from David Blanco at the 13:23 mark
• Man-up just over a minute later, Corbin Gett took advantage of a feed from Thomas Tillett to make the score 2-0
• Fontbonne scored the first goal of the second quarter but did not score again as Benedictine tallied the final 15 goals
• Benedictine held a 12-2 lead at halftime
• The defense posted a shutout in the second half
• During the seven-game win streak, Benedictine has not allowed an opponent to score more than seven goals

• Benedictine converted on four man-up goals and picked up 37 groundballs

• Gett scored seven times and added three assists to match his school record for points in a game
