Eagles Split at Home

The Benedictine University softball team picked up a first game win against host Wisconsin Lutheran College, 1-0, but the Eagles fell 10-2 in the second game.

GAME ONE
• The lone run of the game came in the third inning after Emily Moore doubled to left field
• A Courtney Grasz sac fly scored Moore to give BenU the 1-0 win
• Both teams only combined for eight hits in the game

GAME TWO
• In game two, Benedictine only tallied four hits in the loss
• The Eagles were the first to score, tallying a run in the second after an Emily Chitwood double
• In the second, WLC took the lead after scoring six runs off of six hits and one Eagle error
• Benedictine's last run of the game came in the third after Breanna Sobotka doubled and an Angie Malsack double scored the final run of the inning
• The Warriors tallied three hits but scored three runs in the fourth and fifth en route to a 10-2 win

Benedictine softball returns home on Sunday afternoon when they host Milwaukee School of Engineering starting at 12:00 pm. The Eagles will honor their seniors in between games.
