• Michael Chaffin tallied a two-out RBI single in the top of the third to put Benedictine in front in the second game
• Marian responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead
• Tyler Woynerowski drilled a two-run homer in the fifth to tie the game, but Marian scored twice in the bottom of the frame and tacked on two more in the seventh
• Woynerowski hit another homer in the ninth and Benedictine brought the tying run to the plate but could not even the score
• The loss ended a five-game win streak
• Guzman allowed just one earned run in seven innings in game one, striking out five
• James Wright picked up the win with two shutout frames
• Feeley and Chaffin each logged two hits in the first contest
• Alexander Schram started the second contest and worked three innings
• Chad DeGroot suffered the loss despite throwing four innings
• Woynerowski led the offense with three hits including the two homers, and drove home four of the five runs

Benedictine (21-12, 10-6 NACC) plays Webster on Tuesday night at Illinois State University in a non-conference makeup from the first series of the year
