Eagles Fly By Alverno

The Benedictine University softball team moved to 5-1 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action on Sunday afternoon after a sweep of Alverno College at the Sports Complex.

• On the mound, Becky Karlinski allowed just two hits in the 7-0 win
• The Eagles scored two runs in the second after an Angie Malsack triple
• Courtney Grasz and Emily Chitwood tallied RBI's in the fifth inning to take a 4-0 lead
• The BenU offense didn't stop there as they scored three runs in the sixth when Grasz collected a two-run double, scoring Breanna Sobotka and Malsack who both singled earlier in the inning
• A wild pitch scored the final run of the game
