Eagles Sweep Marian in NACC Action

The Benedictine University women's volleyball team moved to 1-1 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action with a sweep of Marian University on Tuesday night in the Rice Center.

THE DETAILS
• Tied at four in the first set, Marian went on a 7-0 run to take the lead
• The Eagles rallied back with a 5-0 run of their own after five straight Molly Stoch serves
• A Rebecca Pacewic kill gave BenU their first lead of the game, 18-17
• Marian tied it up at 20 but the Eagles offense came alive to win 25-21
• Benedictine held MU to just seven kills and hit -.091 in the set
• The Eagles took an early lead in set two and never looked back, winning 25-10 with 16 kills
• In the third set, both teams traded points early on
• Benedictine led 20-16 but allowed an MU 5-0 run to take the lead
• A Taylor Dunwell kill tied it up and a Claudia Schmidt ace secured the victory for BenU
