LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's basketball team shot over 50 percent in streaking past visiting Dominican University on Saturday.

THE DETAILS
• Dominican came out with a lot of energy, tallying the game's first four points
• Mason Sobiesk handed Benedictine the lead for the first time with a three-pointer at the 10:20 mark of the half
• An 11-2 run capped with a jumper from Bryan Jakobsze put Benedictine ahead by double figures at 35-24 with 3:35 to go in the half
• Benedictine scored the final five points of the half on a three from Collin Mergl and basket from Eric Grygo to lead 40-28 at the break
• Kenny Bogus capped a 7-0 run midway through the second to build a 22-point lead at 58-36
• The visitors cut the lead to 15 points, but Benedictine pulled away, leading by as many as 31 in the second half following a three from Justis McNeal

STAT LEADERS
• Four players scored in double figures led by 14 each from Jakobsze, Grygo and Carl Singletary, Jr.
• Jakobsze flushed home a pair of alley-oops in the second half
• Bogus tallied 11 and Michael Johnson nine
• 12 players scored in the game as Benedictine scored 54 points in the paint and 28 off turnovers while shooting 53 percent and holding a 40-22 edge on the glass
