PLYMOUTH, WI - The Benedictine University women's volleyball team won the first set but fell for the first time in three weeks in the opener of a road conference weekend.

• Benedictine hit .452 in the opening set and led for most of the first
• Taylor Dunwell opened the match with a kill and moments later
Hannah Griffith made it 4-1
• Lakeland tallied five in a row to take an 8-7 lead
• The remainder of the set was close until Benedictine tallied the final seven points to pull away
• Lakeland scored the first five points and led 7-1 in the second, holding a comfortable advantage the entire way
• Benedictine raced to a 3-0 lead in the third on kills from
Alyssa Mojica and
Molly Stock, but Lakeland settled in and strung together several runs to gain the upper hand
• After falling behind 2-0 in the fourth, Benedictine led 4-3 before six straight from Lakeland enabled the visitors to pull away
• Benedictine finished with a -.086 in the fourth set and hit .143 for the night
