The Benedictine University men's volleyball team took down two Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference opponents on Thursday night in the Rice Center. The Eagles swept both #3 Dominican University and Concordia University Chicago in front of a packed crowd.

DOMINICAN FINAL
Benedictine 3, Dominican 0 (25-23, 28-26, 25-18)

THE DETAILS
• Both teams hit over .300 in set one but Dominican tallied eight service errors, including one on set point
• In set two, BenU went up 5-1 after back-to-back Elijah Medlock kills and a Joe Lock ace
• Dominican tied it at 15 and both teams traded points from then out
• Despite hitting a -.033, Benedictine would come out on top after two straight Nick Malak kills
• In set three, a Chase Olson solo block started a 4-0 BenU run to put them up 13-8
• Benedictine kept the lead the entire set and a Joe Lock ace secured the victory, 25-18
• As a team, the Eagles tallied 32 kills (.195), 32 digs and six blocks
• Dominican had 42 kills, 31 digs and eight blocks but missed 21 serves

THE DETAILS
• Concordia took an early first set lead with back-to-back aces but BenU would go on to tie it at 18 with a Medlock and Jacob Strande block
• Benedictine held CUC to a -.190 attack percentage in the 25-20 win
• In set two, both teams tallied eight blocks but the Eagles would come out on top 25-19
• The Eagles led the entire third set, winning 25-14 and tallying 8 kills
